The WaterWise Initiative has been designed keeping in mind the implementation of sustainable water conservation and management methods within low-income urban communities within India. The primary mechanism it aims to use in achieving this includes the installation of rainwater harvesting infrastructure and distribution of water purification kits. These solutions will be facilitated through partnerships with partner organizations and crowd funding initiatives that support the cause. By introducing such practical tools for the collection and safe treatment of water. WaterWise hopes to combat immediate needs while encouraging long-term practices.
Beyond direct interventions, the project is also dedicated towards including communities within their efforts through the circulation of a survey that documents their pressing needs and consequent open-access awareness generating resources such as a white paper report and video series that aim to inform and inspire wider demographics. Together, these strategies seek to execute holistic solutions to the existing water crisis and foster confidence, sustainability and resilience across the communities it serves.
