Founder of the WaterWise Initiative, Avni Puri is a dynamic young student at the Aiglon College in Switzerland where she strives to combine her passion for academics with a deep commitment towards sustainability. When she isn’t studying subjects like Pre-IB Business, Psychology and the sciences, Avni channels her energy into various extracurriculars. Her participation in the Gloth Summer School program, selection and upcoming involvement at the prestigious Yale Young Global Scholars Solving Global Challenges cohort reflect her dedication towards and skill within comprehending  global environmental challenges. Avni’s leadership roles, including serving as Vice-President of her school’s Bliss Club and Advisory Representative further depict her ability to inspire communities towards impactful action. Additionally, being a former UNICEF volunteer and confident public speaker further equip and encourage her to advocate for inclusive access to resources. Through her project, she aims to empower urban-Indian society, amplify sustainable solutions and prove herself and communities at large to be not only water-conscious but truly water-wise.
